About

One person builds this. Here is what that means.

Runsheet is made by Kalpesh Mahida at Buildify, a one-person studio. There is no support team, no roadmap committee and nobody to escalate to. That has consequences in both directions and it is fairer to state them than to imply a company that is not there.

Why this product exists

I ship a lot of things and I post about almost none of them, because the publishing step is where the week runs out. The failure was never the video. It was that three finished videos sat in a folder while the week went by, and by the time I looked up the moment for them had passed.

Everything in Runsheet points at that one failure. Not at discovery, not at thumbnails, not at what to make. At whether the thing you already made went out.

What one person means for you

  • Support is direct and slower than a company’s. An email reaches the person who wrote the code. It may take a day. It will not be a script.
  • The roadmap is short and honest. Multiple channels was the next thing here and it shipped, which is the second time an item on this list has had to be retired rather than updated. Drag reordering was the first. The changelog is the current version of this list, and it is the one that is generated from the log rather than remembered.
  • Nothing is stored that would be painful to lose. Runsheet never holds your video files. Your data is your channel metadata and your own plans. On any paid plan, and after one lapses, it can be exported as CSV. If this product ever shuts down you lose a planning tool, not your work.
  • The price is the price. Free, and Starter is $12 a month for 1 channel, Creator is $29 a month for 2 channels, Network is $69 a month for 5 channels. No seat maths and no percentage of anything. Every limit on every plan is printed on the pricing page, including which ones are counted per channel and which are shared across the account.

What I will not build

No keyword scores, no estimated revenue, no number out of a hundred. Not because those are hard, but because each one is a guess presented as a measurement, and a product that shows one invented number has taught you not to trust the measured ones.

There are writing tools, and they are the exception that proves the rule rather than a softening of it. A drafted title is plainly a draft: you read it, you change it, and nothing about it claims to know how the video will do. What I will not do is put a score next to it. The methodology page is the long version of that argument.

If Runsheet cannot support a conclusion from your data, it says so. That is the whole product position, and it is also why the demo looks worse than the competition’s.

The rest of the studio

Buildify is where I build production AI systems for organisations with complex or regulated workflows, and a handful of my own products, of which Runsheet is one. You can see the rest at buildifyapp.in.

Give the week a shape.

Free has no card and no clock, and every screen works on it.

The demo needs no email and no card. It is a sandbox of your own with a filled channel in it, and it deletes itself.
