Metricool reports everything. Runsheet reports what it can defend.
Breadth and honesty pull in opposite directions. A dashboard covering six networks has to fill every box on every one of them.
| Runsheet | Metricool | |
|---|---|---|
| Scope | YouTube only | Many networks plus ads |
| Reporting | Per-video daily curve, format split | Broad cross-network dashboards |
| Says when data is insufficient | Yes, with the threshold named | Boxes are filled |
| Best time to post | Refuses unless the sample supports it | Offered |
| Playlist and thumbnail on upload | Yes, one pass | Limited by the generic post model |
| Client reports | A public page for the channel | White-label reports, its strength |
| Several channels on one account | Yes, up to 5 | Built for it |
| Team seats | Not yet, one login per account | Built for it |
Choose Metricool if
- You manage several clients or several networks and need one reporting surface.
- You need white-label PDF reports, which Runsheet does not produce.
- Ads reporting matters to you.
Choose Runsheet if
- You are one creator and want depth on YouTube rather than coverage everywhere.
- You would rather see 'not enough data, need 8 videos' than a confident number built on three.
Best time to post, specifically
This is the clearest place the two philosophies diverge. Splitting a catalogue across 168 hourly buckets means a typical creator’s “best hour” is decided by one video. Runsheet buckets by weekday, requires a minimum count per bucket, and will say that no day is meaningfully better rather than naming one. Most of the time that is the true answer.
