Your video goes straight to YouTube
The server opens a resumable upload session with YouTube and hands the URL back to your browser. Your browser sends the bytes directly to Google. Runsheet sees the metadata and the progress; the file itself goes only to YouTube.
That is deliberate. Your unreleased work sits on YouTube and nowhere else, no storage bill ever reaches your invoice, and a breach at our end has no video to leak.
Two permissions, asked for on purpose
Google separates uploading a video from writing to a playlist. Plenty of tools request the upload scope only, which is why their videos land unfiled and you tidy them up in Studio afterwards. Runsheet asks for both, so a video is in the right playlist the moment it exists.
A specific message for each step
The upload comes first, so the video is safely on YouTube before anything else happens. If YouTube then rejects the thumbnail or the playlist write, Runsheet names the step and the reason, and the video stays up while you sort it, rather than a red banner that says something went wrong.
